Each Wednesday, through April 26, we will be taking a series of short sample assessments designed to help students feel more confident and prepared for the state tests in reading and math.

Parent Volunteer Opportunity for 6th Grade Science
Dear Parents and Community Members,
Our science classes will be participating in a community service project through the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Make-It-Shine Program. This program encourages communities to work together to keep West Virginia clean and beautiful.
On April 1st, our students will be working in groups to walk around our school campus and pick up litter as part of this initiative. To make this project a success, we are looking for as many volunteers as possible to help supervise and support students during their cleanup efforts. If the weather does not cooperate, our rain date will be April 2nd.
Volunteers are welcome to join during their student’s class period, an extended period, or any time block that works best for your schedule. Cleanup times will be:
- 8:30–10:02 AM
- 12:00–2:20 PM
All necessary supplies, including gloves and trash bags, will be provided.
If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know which period or time block works best for your schedule. Your time and support will help make this a meaningful experience for our students while helping improve our school grounds. Please reply if you are able to assist us by March 27th.
Thank you for supporting our students and helping keep our community clean!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Keilholtz

This event will clarify the career planning/course selection process and provide an opportunity for deeper understanding of economics and at the same time showcase company excellence, meet the labor market of the future and serve the community.
To participate, students will need to return a permission slip and daily log to share the details of the work day. Those are provided below or your student can get each one from the main office at school.
