Meet Ms. Weston β Murdock Elementary School Counselor
Hi! My name is Ms. Weston, and I am the School Counselor at Murdock Elementary. This is my 20th year as a school counselor, and I am so excited to be part of the Murdock community!
I work with students in a variety of ways. I meet with students individually to address concerns that may affect their school experience or performance. I lead small groups where students can learn and practice specific skills, and I teach whole-class lessons that proactively build skills students need to find success in school and in life.
I am also available every day for students who need a break, a quiet moment, or help getting calm and ready to learn. Sometimes a student just needs a safe place and a little time to resetβand thatβs okay!
Please reach out anytime you have a concern, question, or simply want to share something about your child or their experience at Murdock Elementary. We are a team, and I am here to help!

When they are working on their iPADs at home, please make sure they are being handled with care.

Attendance
The state of Indiana wants every school to have an attendance rate of 95% or higher. We have 180 days of school for the year. A child can miss up to 9 days and still be at 95% or higher for the school year. When a child is late to school or leaves early, that also effects their attendance. If your child has a fever or vomiting, they need to stay home. If they have a little cold with no fever, they are still able to come to school. If you are unsure, you can always bring your child to the building, and the school nurse can check to see if your child needs to go home or if they are able to stay at school.

2021-2022 93.7%
