Arkansas will participate in the Summer Electronic Benefits Program.

Families must complete an application through the Department of Human Services (DHS) to see if they are eligible to receive the Summer EBT benefits, which is $120 per eligible child. The application can be found at the link below, or households may pick up an application at any DHS county office. The completed application MUST be returned to the county DHS office or emailed to the Summer EBT Email at SummerEBT@dhs.arkansas.gov ASAP.

DHS will begin mailing cards July 10, 2024, to the address on file in eSchool. If the address needs to be updated, it MUST be updated at the school level prior to the last day of school, which is May 30, 2024.

For questions about the Summer EBT program, please contact DHS beginning June 1, 2024, at the following address: SummerEBT@dhs.arkansas.gov.

Neither the Arkansas Department of Education nor the North Little Rock School District is NOT involved in the distribution of the Summer EBT benefits. The Department of Human Services is the only agency who can answer any questions regarding the benefits.

Please click on this link for the application.

It has been an exciting week of learning in Mrs. Goodwin's class at Amboy Elementary School! Check out these snapshots of our students dissecting owl pellets and diving into the fascinating world of birds. Students loved this hands-on science lab!

Indian Hills' Kindergarten through second grade students experienced a library on the move! This week, they went a story walk and were able to interact with each page by collecting items to help them later retell the story to a friend.

Special thanks to all volunteer readers, including some of the school's fourth and fifth grade students.

This project was funded through the NLR Public Education Foundation Innovative Teaching Grant.

Thanking Volunteers Thanking Volunteers

The Office of Parent and Family Engagement and the District PTA recently hosted a "Thank You Reception" for the scores of individuals who have volunteered in our schools this school year.

Many of these volunteers have mentored students, helped teachers and staff, worked duty, and performed other tasks to ensure our schools run smoothly.

Some of these volunteers do not have a family member in the district. They give of their time because they want to support our schools.

We thank all of our volunteers for their help! If you would like to be a part of our schools and to pour into the next generation of leaders, please contact Ms. Crystal Barker at barkerc@nlrsd.org.
