The Sheiko Weekly Update
Sheiko Elementary: April 10, 2026
PRINCIPAL UPDATE
Dear Sheiko Families,
We had another great week of learning! Our students continue to work hard, and it’s wonderful to see their growth and engagement each day.
As we move into testing season, here are a few helpful tips for MSTEP and NWEA assessments:
🛌Get a good night’s sleep
🥞Eat a healthy breakfast
⏰Arrive to school on time
📖Read directions and questions carefully
✍🏻Take your time and check your work
💪Do your best and stay positive
Your child’s specific testing days can be found in the weekly newsletter from their teacher.
Consistent attendance is especially important during this time. Being present each day ensures students don’t miss important instruction, practice opportunities, and testing sessions. We truly appreciate your partnership in helping your child arrive on time and ready to learn.
If you have any questions about your child’s disciplinary record, please contact the principal—me. Most students do not have any entries, but I am always happy to connect and provide clarity if needed.
Goooooooooo Lakers!
In partnership,
Blaine McDowell
