Dear Hardy Families,
I cannot believe I am writing my last Hardy Happenings, as I move on to Pershing Middle School. I cannot quite articulate into words what a pleasure and honor it has been to be your children's principal.
These past few years have shaped me in ways I never expected. I have watched your children grow into confident readers, thoughtful problem solvers, and kind friends to one another. I have celebrated their wins alongside them, sat with them through hard days, and watched this community show up for its children again and again, in ways big and small. That is not something I take lightly, and it is not something I will forget.
Thank you for trusting me with your most precious gift, your children. And to our PTA, Dads Club, and every parent who has ever shown up to volunteer, chaperone, or simply cheer from the sidelines, thank you for building the kind of community that makes a school feel like home.
As I step into this next chapter at Pershing Middle School, I leave Hardy with a full heart and complete confidence in what this community has built together. The culture we created here does not belong to one person; it belongs to all of us, and I know it will continue to thrive under Hardy's next leader.
I hope you'll join us on Friday morning for my final Parliament and courtyard dance party. Thank you for the honor of serving your children. I will carry the memory of this community with me for the rest of my career. I hope our paths cross again.
With immense gratitude,
Principal Aragon

Thank you so much for attending our Everyone A Reader training yesterday! We are so excited to officially launch this program at Hardy.
We currently have more students in need of reading intervention than we have family volunteers to support them. If you've been considering joining us, there is still time! We would love to have you. Please reach out to achedgecock27@gmail.com

PTA & Dad's Club
What a week we’ve had, Owls! It’s been an emotional time for our Hardy community. As we move forward together, one of the best things we can do is stay connected and keep showing up for our students, teachers, staff, and one another.
Here are a few ways to connect with the Hardy community in the weeks ahead.
Thursday, September 17 at 6:15 p.m. Hardy Auditorium + online option
We postponed Friday’s meeting to make space for Dr. Cazary’s community input session, and we appreciate everyone who participated.
On Sept. 17, we’ll share PTA updates, answer questions, hear your ideas, and vote on PTA business—including approval of our 2026–27 budget.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Only current PTA members may vote, so if you haven’t joined for this school year yet, join today!
🍕 Thank You, Hardy!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Family Dine-Out at Woodstock’s!
Together, Hardy families raised significant funds for PTA programs and activities while getting a much-needed chance to connect off campus. ❤️
