May 2026 May 2026

Dear Heritage Families,

May is here, and with it comes a full and exciting finish to our school year! Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be participating in MAP testing, and we are proud of the hard work they have shown all year as they prepare to demonstrate their learning.

Alongside testing, May is filled with special events and celebrations, including Kindergarten and Fifth Grade celebrations, 2nd Grade Color Wars, Field Day, and our meaningful Senior Walk and Fifth Grade Clap Out.

This has truly been an amazing year of learning, leadership, and growth for our students. We are so proud of all they have accomplished. Thank you for your continued support in making this a successful and memorable year for every child! We hope you all have a wonderful summer break!

Warm Regards,

Dr. Kimberley Walters, Val Sutton, Katie Will and Melrick Bogier

Our school's Measurable Results Assessment (MRA) data is in! Thank you to our families, staff, and students for participating in this survey. This survey has helped us identify strengths as well as areas where we can improve and track our school's overall progress.

View district-wide survey results. Tell us how we are doing with sharing our survey results in this one question Culture & Climate Reporting Survey.

Lost and Found Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found team has worked hard to organize and gather all items that have been turned in throughout the year. We currently have a large collection of jackets, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, and even water bottles.

Please remind your student to check the Lost and Found for any missing belongings, or feel free to stop by and we will gladly help locate your child’s item(s). Any items remaining after the last day of school will be donated.

Yearbooks Yearbooks

If you missed the yearbook order online, we have about 30 extra copies left for sale on a first-come, first-serve basis. Yearbooks are $20 and can be purchased in the Carr Street Office.

Welcome to May! As we head into the final stretch of the school year and look ahead to summer, the Leadership Family is excited to share Habit 8 from the Leader in Me—inspired by Stephen R. Covey’s The 8th Habit—“Find your voice and inspire others to find theirs.” This habit encourages students to discover their unique strengths and passions, and to use them to make a positive impact on those around them.

To help bring this idea home over the summer, we’ve included a fun Kindness Bingo Board for families to enjoy together. Each activity is a simple way to practice leadership through kindness, courage, and service. We hope this creates meaningful moments for connection while helping your child grow in confidence and character all summer long.

Field Day Field Day

We are excited to announce that our Field Day will take place on Thursday, May 21! This is always a fun and memorable day for our students, and we would love your help to make it a success.

We are currently looking for parent volunteers to assist with various activities throughout the day. Whether you can help for part of the day or the entire event, your support is greatly appreciated.

Please find the Field Day schedule below. If you haven't already signed up to volunteer and would still like to, please reach out to the office staff to verify your volunteer paperwork is up to date and then email your student's PE teacher to get on the list.
