Message from Mrs. Zagala
Dear Mora Elementary Families, ❤️🖤
Thank you for your incredible support of our APEX Fun Run! This event not only helps our Bearcats develop important leadership and perseverance skills, but it also raises funds for our PTA that go directly back to our students through field trips, special programs, and fun celebrations. We are so grateful for your partnership and generosity!
This week’s newsletter also includes important information about Red Ribbon Week, which kicks off next week! Be sure to check out our special theme days and upcoming activities.
Have a wonderful weekend, Mora Families! Thank you for being such an important part of our Bearcat community.
Go Bearcats! 🐾

Photos of the Week
This week's photo hi-lights showcase strength and endurance work in PE. Students of all ages enjoy going to PE to learn about healthy lifestyles and to develop new skills. Thank you to Coach Delgado and Coach Sabrina for their support of our students.
Red Ribbon Week: October 26–30
Red Ribbon Week is a time to educate our students about the importance of making healthy, safe, and drug-free choices. This week, our Mora Bearcats will celebrate with fun daily theme days and a special presentation by Spikey Mikey to encourage students to live healthy, drug-free lives. Thank you for partnering with us to promote a safe and healthy future for all our students!
Together, we can make a difference! Go Bearcats! 🐾
Costume Parade 10.30.26
Our annual Costume Parade will be held on Friday, October 30th, and our students are invited to wear their costumes to school and participate in the parade!
As you begin planning your child’s costume, please remember that we are an elementary school. Costumes should be school-appropriate, age-appropriate, and comfortable for the school day.
To help ensure a fun and safe celebration for everyone, weapons and gore will not be permitted at school or during the parade. Costumes should not include realistic or toy weapons, blood, graphic images, or other frightening or macabre elements.
We want our Bearcats to have a wonderful time celebrating while keeping the day fun, festive, and appropriate for all of our students!
We can’t wait to see our Bearcats’ creative costumes! 🐾
