From the Principal
Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families!
With just a few weeks left in the school year, there's a lot to celebrate and look forward to! We kicked off this week with our successful Kindergarten, Here I Come event - welcoming our newest students and families with smiles, activities, and lots of excitement for the year ahead.
Our third graders are currently in the middle of state testing, and we are so proud of their focus, effort and perseverance. I'd also like to take a moment to give a shout out to our third grade families for ensuring that their students were here on time and ready to test. Keep up the great work!
We're also gearing up for one of our favorite end-of-the-year traditions: Field Day! Scheduled for the end of the month (weather permitting), Field Day promises fun, teamwork, and lots of laughter as students rotate through a variety of outdoor games and activities. Cleared volunteers are welcome and encouraged to help make the day a success. Please reach out to our PTA is you're available to lend a hand!
Thank you for your continued support! It's been a wonderful year so far, and we're excited to finish strong together!
Warm regards,
Christine Firth, Principal
Lost & Found to be Donated June 13
Please stop in during office hours (8am - 4pm through June 12) to look for your student's lost items. The pile has grown exponentially since the advent of warmer weather. All items not picked up by 1:00 on June 13 will be donated.
We make every effort to return items that have names in them. To maximize the likelihood of getting lost items back when they are left on the playground, please make sure your student's belongings are clearly marked.
