Love your Neighbor
We recently heard this heartwarming story we wanted to pass along. A woman called our Community Services office to find out more about our services. She is trying to help the man who delivers the newspaper to her neighborhood. He is in his 50s and looks after his 90 year-old father. When his father passes away, the newspaper carrier may not have a place to live. She and the other neighbors are collecting resources to help him before this eventuality. As one of our volunteers stated, "This warmed my heart that the neighbors look out for him. We don't often hear these stories. The world would be so much better if everyone did this!" Amen!
Model of Mercy
Thank you, Jerry!
Jerry (pictured on the right) is retiring as a food bank volunteer after three decades of service. He started out as a food bank driver. In the past 10 years, he has been one of our lead volunteers in managing our inventory. His constant service has been a wonderful example of his strong faith and love for those in our greater community. If you see him in Mass, please say thank you!
