“Stand Strong: Why I Say No” student contest for high school students

The Children’s Advisory Commission of Indiana County is launching a new “Stand Strong: Why I Say No” student contest for high school students in grades 9–12 across Indiana County.

The contest gives students an opportunity to use their voices and creativity to share why they choose to live substance-free and encourage their peers to make healthy, positive choices. Students will submit a short message explaining why they say no to drugs, opioids, alcohol, tobacco, or vaping. Two students from each Indiana County school district will be selected, and each winning student will have the opportunity to choose either a life-size cutout of themselves or a banner featuring the student’s image and quote to display at the school.

The entry deadline is Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM, with winners announced by Friday, October 30, 2026.
