We are grateful for our assistant principals! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to HTHS.

The last day to submit a pre-arranged absence form is April 10th.

Madison Pate, George Merchant, Derrick Hall, and Caylin Kennemur attended the University of Alabama College Prep Summit yesterday, where they gained valuable insight into what it takes to be successful in inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) programs. Throughout the day, they explored opportunities offered at universities such as Crossing Points, EAGLES, Horizons, and Mississippi State ACCESS, learning about college expectations, independence, and future career pathways.

We are incredibly proud of these students for taking this important step toward their futures and embracing the opportunities ahead. Their hard work, determination, and enthusiasm make us excited to see all they will accomplish!

The HTHS AP Physics and AP Calculus students traded their desks for roller coasters on Tuesday, April 7th, heading to Six Flags Over Georgia to put Newton's laws to the ultimate test! From the stomach-dropping launches of Superman to the twisting forces of Pandemonium, students didn't just study acceleration — they felt it firsthand. Goliath proved to be a fan favorite for experiencing some of the most intense g-forces of the day. It's one thing to solve for acceleration on paper, but quite another to feel it at full speed! Thinking about turning physics into an adventure? Don't miss out next year — sign up for one of the AP Physics or AP Calculus courses at HTHS and see where the math takes you!
