Trunk or Treat
The Trunk-or-Treat Committee wants to extend a sincere thank you for volunteering to help make next Thursday’s event a success.
To help you prepare, we’ve put together a document with the schedule, locations, and assignments. Please review the attached slides for the following information: Trunk or Treat Logistics
Slide 1: Event locations
Slide 2: Staff location assignments, plus staff and family trunk hosts
Slide 3: Required materials for each location
I will be reaching out to 8th-grade students to assist with setup and cleanup. While the committee will be handling these tasks as well, any additional staff help would be greatly appreciated!
Please feel free to reach out to me or any committee member if you have questions or concerns.
Best,
Trunk-or-Treat Committee

Community Ofrenda
Honor Loved Ones at Our Community Ofrenda
In celebration of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)—a rich tradition originating in Mexico and celebrated throughout Latin America—we invite our entire school family to participate in our Community Ofrenda. An ofrenda is a traditional altar created to welcome, honor, and remember family, friends, and cherished loved ones who have passed away.
Our altar will be located outside of the main office and will remain on display through November 5th.
We welcome students, staff, and families to contribute starting the week of October 26th. You are invited to bring in a photo, a written memory, or a small non-perishable offering to add to the table as we join together in this meaningful cultural tradition of remembrance and reflection.
Please note: To keep your precious memories safe, please submit photo copies rather than original photographs.
Technology Audit and Schedule
Our annual technology audit has officially begun! To help this process go as smoothly as possible, please keep the following in mind:
Asset Scanning: I will be visiting classrooms (primarily during your prep periods) to scan all devices with asset tags. This includes teacher and staff devices.
Chromebook Carts: Please leave Chromebooks in their carts, but unplugged/disconnected, as this speeds up the scanning process significantly.
Tech Support Requests: Please continue using the Tech Google Form for all tech issues or requests rather than emailing/telling me directly. I receive immediate email notifications for each submission and review them frequently.
Form Details: When submitting a request, please include your Name, Room Number/Location, and the Asset Tag Number(s) so a ticket can be created promptly.
Good News: Repaired Chromebooks are actively being redistributed to classrooms that need them! Once our audit is complete, we will have a clear picture of our overall inventory and where additional devices are needed.
Thank you for your support and patience!

MTSS: Round 1 ends Monday October 26th
Round 1 Ends Monday
Dear Teachers,
We are starting Cycle 1 on Monday, September 21st. Please remember, all Tier 2 and Tier 3 students need to have plans in Branching Minds for each subject area that they are in Tier 2 or Tier 3. Progress reports are going home this week. If a student is receiving a D or an F in a core content area- they must also have a plan in Branching Minds (make sure you submit a BHT referral as well). If grades are the reason they need a plan, please reach out to me for next steps. We need to determine if it is an academic content deficit or behavior related.
In Branching Minds you need the following:
Dates: Sept. 21- Oct. 26
Progress Monitor every two weeks (minimum) or weekly
Tier 2 should meet 2-3 times a week for 15-20 minutes each time.
- Add the intervention program that matches the deficit
Add the progress monitoring that matches the skill/ deficit you are explicitly teaching to the students.
You must be meeting with your students throughout the week in small groups to teach the deficit- this teaching should not come from a computer program (IXL, Freckle, etc) Those are tools you can use, similar to a worksheet or a book. But the actual teaching and learning come from the teacher.
Here is a deck that explains the Tiering process and refresher on how to add your plans in Branching Minds!
Middle School Teachers- please reach out to the advisory teachers to help support groups during that time. If you are teaching an advisory, please remember to dedicate time in the week to interventions in Reading and Math. We can be creative and share groups and kids amongst the grade level.
I will be around to discuss the groups and times I am going to be pulling with specific teachers. If you have any questions, need clarification, etc. Let me know and we can meet to plan this out.
Thank you for all of your hard work!
