Our Student Council has planned a fun and festive Spirit Week for our students! After a small change, Spirit Week will kick off on Wednesday, 12/17, and run all the way through our last day before break, Tuesday, 12/23. It’s the perfect way to come together and show our school spirit.

The BFA Girls Comet JV/Varsity Basketball team has their first home game of the season on Monday, December 29th and are offering free admission to all local youth basketball teams if they wear their team uniform to the game

Maple Run Unified School District greatly values our strong partnership with the Rec Program and the opportunities it provides for our students and families.

Right now, we are not able to say if financial help will be available for the Rec Summer Program. This is because some of the grant money we usually receive from the federal government has been reduced.

We know this is important for families as you make plans, and we want you to know that we are working closely with our Rec Program partners to look for ways to offer support.

We should have more information to share in the spring and will update families as soon as we can.

Sign up and join us for the 2nd session of Morning Boost!

Sarah Biggie and Leah Eldridge are excited to collaborate and offer a Morning Boost Group that meets on Tuesdays from 7:45–8:15 a.m., before the start of the school day.

This group is designed to provide the students a positive and engaging start to their day through play, connection, and mindfulness activities. The purpose is to create a welcoming space where students can ease into the morning, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the school community.

We hope that participating in Morning Boost will help students start their day feeling grounded, energized, and connected, setting a positive tone that they will carry with them into their classrooms and beyond.

We will be publishing a weekly registration through arbiter. Space is limited to 20 students

If your student has a new injury or a new medical condition that may impact their school day, please reach out to your school Nurse to discuss. This will ensure that any treatments, restrictions, or complications can be managed effectively while your child is at school.

Reminder: Players are not allowed to stay after and wait for their practices unless their practice starts right after school (3:15 on M/T/TH/F or 2:15 on W).

• 7 Boys: Game time changed to 5:00 PM.

• 7 Girls: Game time changed to 6:00 PM.

• 5/6 Girls: Practice is cancelled

We wanted to take a moment to let families know that attendance can be reported to Michelle Dow by calling 752-2600 or by email at satec-attendance@maplerun.org should your child be out sick, coming in late from an appointment or for other attendance questions that you may have.

We'd also like to remind families that when sending in notes to school to please include both first and last name of your child and the name of their homeroom teacher.
