🌳Brighten Together..🌳

Week 5 is here!

Five weeks in, routines are becoming habits, classrooms are buzzing with learning, and our scholars are continuing to find their rhythm. This is the time to stay consistent, keep building momentum, and take pride in the progress being made, both big and small.

To our students: Keep going! Challenge yourself, learn from your mistakes, celebrate your growth, and remember that success is built one day at a time.

We are excited about what this next week will bring and all the learning, growth, and opportunities ahead. Let’s make Week 5 count!

Warm Regards,

🍏Ms. Wells

Please keep these important times and reminders in mind when planning for student pick-up or visits to the Front Office:

  • Parents/guardians must have an approved pick-up card or a photo ID that matches the contact information listed in Infinite Campus.

🚗 STUDENT DISMISSAL
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 3:15 PM
• Wednesday: 11:45 AM

🏢 FRONT OFFICE HOURS
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM

⏰ Please plan accordingly. Wednesday is an early dismissal day, and the Front Office closes at 12:30 PM.

Thank you for helping us keep dismissal and front office operations running smoothly and safely! 💙

Classroom Birthday Item Drop Off

We love helping our students celebrate their special days! If you are dropping off birthday treats at the Front Office, we HIGHLY encourage—and the Front Office will ONLY accept—a single-serving treat to be shared with classmates.

🍪 Examples: Choose one item such as:
• Cupcakes
• Cookies
• Donuts

🚫 No additional items will be accepted at the Front Office, including:
• Juice or drinks
• Goodie bags
• Balloons
• Toys or trinkets
• Other non-food items

⏰ Please keep in mind: Birthday treats are distributed during a very short window—the last 10 minutes of the student’s lunch period. For this reason, we ask that treats be simple and easy to distribute.

Thank you for helping us keep birthday celebrations simple, quick, and manageable while still allowing our students to enjoy a special treat with their classmates!

📚✨ Get Ready to Read, Brighten! ✨📚

Mrs. Peterson is excited to continue Beanstack this year with ALL of our students! Beanstack is our electronic reading log where students can track their reading, earn rewards, and participate in fun school-wide and individual reading challenges throughout the year.

🚀 Our First Reading Challenge!

Our first goal is to read and log 450 minutes by September 25th!

🎉 Everyone who reaches 450 minutes will earn a yummy cotton candy treat on Wednesday, September 30th! 🍭

Students can even log minutes they have already read during the first two weeks of school! Please remember that Beanstack has daily logging limits, so it may take a few days for students to get all of their minutes entered.

💻 How to Access Beanstack

Visit: https://brightenacademy.beanstack.com/reader365

Click the blue “Sign in with Google” button.
Enter the student's school email: s456789@brightenacademy.com
(Replace 456789 with the student's school ID number.)
Enter the password provided/set by the teacher.
📖 Ready, Set, READ!

Every minute counts! Encourage your student to read at home, at school, in the car, before bed—anywhere they can find a good book!

Let's see how many Brighten students can reach 450 minutes and earn their cotton candy! 🍭📚🎉
