A Great Second Week at SBMH!

Students and staff, thank you for another great week at Scott’s Branch Middle High School! As I visited classrooms throughout the week, I was excited to see so much learning, engagement, and hard work taking place.

Students, thank you for continuing to follow our schoolwide procedures and expectations. Your efforts help us maintain a safe, focused, and positive learning environment. Please continue to follow our expectations regarding cell phones, dress code, attendance, and arriving to school and class on time.

Parents and families, thank you for your continued commitment, encouragement, and support. We truly appreciate the partnership we feel as we begin this school year together. Your support plays an important role in helping our students remain focused, accountable, and successful.

We are off to a great start, and I look forward to another week of learning, growth, and success. Let’s continue to rise to the expectations and make this an outstanding year at SBMH! Go Eagles!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Alisha Wells,

Principal

Msg. Robinson

I’m Master Sergeant Robinson, your JROTC instructor. I began teaching JROTC officially on February 10, 2014, in Georgia after retiring from active service September 2013. I absolutely love seeing young people transform before my eyes. They come with the idea of I don't want to be in the program because of the rules, and leave with a completely different view of how the program change their thought process of navigating their lives after high school.

LTC Reynolds

Welcome parents and students — I’m Lt. Col. (Ret.) Clay Reynolds, and it’s a privilege to return for my sixth year as your Senior Army Instructor. I’ve also served as an Assistant Professor of Military Science and completed the Inspector General School and Command and General Staff College. I graduated from The Citadel and earned a master’s degree from Clemson. As a veteran of deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait, I’m committed to helping each cadet build confidence, leadership skills, and pride in service.

Ms. West

My name is Ms. West. I have 25 years in education, specializing in business education.

Fun fact: I’m a true people person. I love encouraging others, bringing positive energy, celebrating wins, and making learning meaningful and fun. I want students to know they don’t have to get everything right on day one—be willing to learn, try, and grow. Mistakes help us learn, questions are welcome, and your effort matters.

High School Robotics Team

High school students in Colonel Reynolds’ JROTC teamed up to design, build, and test robots — hands-on learning, leadership in action, and teamwork on display. Fantastic work, Eagles! Your creativity and critical thinking impressed us. First project of the year: Mission accomplished. Our robotics team designed, assembled, and successfully tested their first robot — celebrate the engineering and collaboration behind this win.

Chorus

Mrs. Mack adapted a staff activity for her chorus class. Students worked in teams on a mountain survival challenge, chose roles, supported each other, and found a path to safety. What a fantastic team effort from our students. Keep rocking it, Eagles!

💙💛Community Partners Making a Difference💛💙 💙💛Community Partners Making a Difference💛💙

Scott’s Branch Middle/High School would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Clarendon County's volunteer, Ms. Margaret Walker, and our district's very own, Meesha Witherspoon, who stopped by Scott’s Branch to personally deliver donated hygiene items and show their support to our school's Eagle Care Closet! 🦅💙💛

These essential items will help us continue meeting the needs of our female students and ensuring they have access to personal care necessities throughout the school year. When students feel comfortable, confident, and supported, they are better prepared to focus on learning and success.

We are so grateful for the community partners who continue to invest in the whole student and help us create a caring and supportive school environment.

Thank you Ms. Walker, and Ms. Witherspoon, for supporting our Eagles and putting service into action! 💙💛
