Parma Community Elementary-Volume #5
A very special thanks goes out to Mrs. Rosenfeldt for putting together all of the goodie bags, Mrs. Bray for serving as the PCE photographer for the evening and Ms. Kuhn for helping out to "tattoo" our girls. Despite having to share a parking lot with the local fish fry families, a great time was had by all that attended! Way to go PCE Aviator Girls!
As the year draws to a close, the last major hurdle that the students have to "jump" involves them showing how much they have learned this year at PCE! In order to do that, the students will be spending the next few weeks diving deeper into the OH content area standards in both Reading and Math. Your student should be able to discuss with you how many points that they have to earn to make it to the "Proficient" level.
PCE Faculty and Staff are working hard to engage students in innovative and unique ways of preparing for these upcoming tests! They have spent countless hours researching, collaborating and constructing lessons that will build upon the skills that the students have already been taught. They are excited about the upcoming time to provide as much support as possible for all PCE students so that they are able to S.O.A.R. to the next grade level and BEYOND!
If you can believe it, we are just a couple of weeks away from the last marking period of the 2025-26 school year. In order to finish the year out successfully, we need to make sure that all students submit their "Blizzard" packets to their homeroom teachers. A friendly reminder, the "Blizzard" packet will count as 1x Reading grade and 1x Math grade for each student during the 3rd MP. Please make every effort to have your student submit these packets no later than Thurs., Mar. 12th! After that, all grades will be calculated for the report card distribution the week of March 23rd. If you or your student have any questions about the packet, feel free to reach out to the homeroom teacher of record as soon as possible. Thank you for supporting your student's learning, even during the NEO Winter Storms of 2026!
The end of the school year brings an opportunity for all parent/guardian(s) to join in celebrating their student's successes. Be on the look out for grade-level specific information for all of assemblies and promotions. Please see the calendar below and mark these dates down so that you are able to attend with your student. All of the events require tickets, the exact number will be determined by the venue "fire code" requirements that include the student/teacher count. Teachers will distribute the specific grade-level information after all students return from Spring Break! For both promotions and awards assemblies, students are expected to dress "UP". After you receive the specific details, please feel free to call the main office if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
