Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!
On behalf of the entire WHS Leadership Team, I’m excited to welcome our students to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether they are returning to WHS or joining our community for the first time, we are grateful to have them as part of the Rocks family.
At WHS, our mission remains at the heart of everything we do: to ensure every student is Life Ready—prepared to thrive the day after graduation and well beyond. We are committed to creating opportunities for every student to learn, grow, build meaningful connections with caring adults, and discover the interests and passions that will help shape their future.
As we begin a new school year, we will continue to live our values in the work we do each day:
Every Rock Valued. Every Rock Connected. Every Rock Ready.
Here’s to a great year at WHS! We are excited for all that our students will accomplish together.

New Bell-to-Bell Wireless Device Expectations
A Great Start to a New Expectation at WHS!
Our Shamrocks did an amazing job today adjusting to Indiana’s new bell-to-bell expectations for personal wireless communication devices!
Students rose to the challenge by keeping phones and other personal devices powered off and stored away throughout the school day—including during passing periods and lunch.
And we noticed something pretty great: students were talking to each other. One teacher even shared how wonderful it was to see students sitting together at lunch and having conversations with one another.
That is exactly the kind of connection we want to see at WHS. While this new expectation may take some getting used to, today was a great reminder of what can happen when we create more opportunities for our students to be present, connected, and engaged with one another.
Thank you, Shamrocks, for getting the year off to such a strong start!

Model PLC Wrap-Up
What an incredible afternoon celebrating the people who make Westfield High School what it is! Our Model PLC Celebration & Recommitment Banquet was a chance to celebrate the commitment our staff makes every day to learning, collaboration, and results—and to recommit to doing what is best for our students. We are so grateful to our amazing staff and to our generous sponsors and partners—Meyer Najem Construction, CSO Architects, WHS PTO, Robbie’s Hope, Trisha Sweet & Mary Barbara Marti, LIV Golf Grant, Westfield Education Foundation, Foodies Rock, and WHS Learning Center/Print Barn—for investing in our people and supporting the work we do for kids. What a special opportunity to celebrate, connect, and look ahead to another year of learning, growing, and achieving together!

If you have a question or concern about your student’s bus stop, route, pickup time, or transportation, please contact the Transportation Department directly. They are the team that can access and make changes to your student’s transportation information.

TalkingPoints-Family Communication
Westfield Washington Schools use a program called TalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.
This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.
The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
