Principal's Message
Dear families,
As we approach the start of the new academic year, I am thrilled to share that classes will begin in just one week. It's truly amazing how time flies, and we are eagerly looking forward to having the students back in our school.
As we all know, transitioning from summer break to the school routine can be a little challenging for our children. To ensure a smooth start, I would like to kindly remind you about the importance of getting them back into their regular routines, especially when it comes to bedtime. Encouraging early bedtimes will help them adjust to waking up on time and feeling refreshed for the school day ahead.
To make the start of the year even more special, we invite all of you to "Meet the Teachers" on August 10th. It's an excellent opportunity for both parents and students to get acquainted with the teachers, ask questions, and familiarize themselves with the classroom environment.
This week, you can expect to receive detailed information about arrival and dismissal procedures. Please see the arrival procedures draft attached to this newsletter. For our existing families, the process will be pretty similar to the one you helped us create last year, we are just making sure that it will still work as we are expanding. Noticed that for the first two days we are asking you to walk all students to campus instead of using the drop off lane. Our priority is to ensure a safe and organized end to each school day, and we appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the outlined dismissal guidelines.
Additionally, I'm excited to announce that we embarked on a training program focused on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and its impact on the developing brain of our children. Understanding and nurturing their emotional well-being is crucial in providing a conducive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Let's work together to make this academic year a truly enriching and successful one for our students. Your support and involvement in their education play a vital role, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.
Looking forward to a fantastic year ahead. See you all on August 10th!
Warm regards,
Dr. G

Building with the Best!
If you wonder why I used a Lego background, I want to introduce you to this year's theme. Our theme, "building with the best," is the perfect fit for what we do at Biomedical as we are actual builders. As Ms. Maffucci would say, this year, we are physically under construction, expanding a grade level, continuing to build our academic program, building our community, and continuing to develop our partnership with UTSW Southwestern. We are honored to be building with the best families. Your continued support and feedback have made our school where everyone wants to be.
LET'S CONTINUE BUILDING TOGETHER!

Arrival/Dismissal Plan-Draft
We are finalizing the arrival and dismissal plan. I am sharing pictures of the draft so all new families can begin familiarizing themselves with the process. We will be sending information throughout the week as we finalize the plan. Notice that the first two days, we are asking the families to walk with the students during arrival and dismissal so that we can get to know you and your children. Please, review the tips for arrival. The dismissal plan will be shared Wednesday.
Class Dojo
We use the Class Dojo App to communicate with you regularly. We use the app to send reminders about school events and publish all district flyers as they become available. Once your child's teacher share the code with you during meet the teacher night, please join.
Label all your child's items.
Please, take some time labeling all items that your child will bring to school. We suggest labeling sweaters, jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other loose items that can be misplaced. We have a lost and found, but many things were not claimed by the end of the year. If the item is labeled, we can ensure it will return home promptly.
