First Term Finished!

Hi All My Amazing Students and Parents!

First term is over and done. Can you believe it. When I was a kid I never truly understood when adults said, "Time fly's when you get older". Now that I am older, not to old mind you, but older, I really do understand it now and I cherish every day.

I have decided to have the student's still do lunges to warm up their legs as part of their fitness components. K-1st fitness components are running laps, curl-ups/sit-ups, and lunges. 2nd grades fitness components are 3 running laps, curl-ups/sit-ups, lunges and planking. 3rd-6th fitness components are 3 running laps, curl-ups/sit-ups, push-ups, lunges, and planking. Parents it would be really helpful to encourage your students to work on these fitness components at home. We only have PE once per week and it is hard to make improvements doing them once a week. I would be so grateful for your help with this.

4th, 5th, and 6th grades are in full swing of the Presidential Physical Fitness test. So far, we have completed are base line scores in the sit-ups/curl-ups, push-ups and plank. After fall break students will work on the pacer test, pull-ups, and one mile run/walk.

You will find my PE Disclosure Google Form below. To fill out the Disclosure for PE, click on the link below. I need each family to click on the link, read the disclosure letter, answer the questions, then hit submit. Only one per family is needed for all of your students. The First PE class who has every disclosure Google Form signed and turned in will earn a free PE class where the class can choose the game or activity for the day.

Second Term after school club information is below. Parents you can start signing up your students on Tuesday, October 20th, 2026. Clubs start November 2nd.

Please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions. renriquez@wasatchpeak.org

Thank you for sharing all of your AMAZING students with me!

Go be Great!
