Principal's Message From Dr. Otway
College Park Families,
Our leadership journey continues as we close out Black History Month, a time that beautifully reflects leadership in action, both inside and outside of our school community. Throughout this month, our students have explored the courage, resilience, vision, and impact of leaders who have shaped history.
This week, students will deepen that learning by recreating their own personal mission statements during our Leading Themselves lesson. We want our scholars to understand that leadership is not just something we study, it is something we live. The same leadership qualities we celebrate during Black History Month are the qualities we are building in every College Park student.
We hope you will join us for our Black History Program on Thursday from 5:00–7:00 PM. It will be a powerful evening of celebration, culture, and student voice.
Thank you for partnering with us as we grow leaders of excellence.
Dr. Maisha N. Otway
Principal, College Park Elementary School

Princeton Peeks 👀
Leadership Week
Our scholars had an incredible Student Leadership Week! Throughout the week, students worked hard on building and organizing their Leader in Me portfolios while reviewing and reflecting on the 7 Habits. They took ownership of their goals, celebrated their progress, and strengthened their leadership skills.
House Leadership Buddy Day
We wrapped up the week with Leadership Buddy Day on Friday, where scholars met in their house groups. Our older student leaders supported younger scholars by helping them organize their portfolios, use their trackers, and reflect on their goals. We even had parents come out to witness the leadership, growth, and collaboration firsthand.
Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year & Professional of the Year
We are proud to celebrate two incredible members of our College Park Elementary family! Congratulations to our third-grade teacher, Ms. Offord, on being named Teacher of the Year, and to our amazing bookkeeper, Mrs. Smith, on being named Professional of the Year. Both of these dedicated educators exemplify excellence, commitment, and heart in everything they do for our students and school community. We are extremely proud of them and grateful for the positive impact they make each and every day.
