Angelo State University Scholarship Programs

Priority Review Deadline: January 15th (Applications completed before Jan.15th will receive priority.)

ASU’s Distinguished Scholarship (formerly known as Carr Academic Scholarship) is a merit scholarship that can range from $1,500 to $10,000 per year. Awards are based on a high school GPA and SAT/ACT test scores. See the Distinguished Scholarship page of the ASU website for eligibility requirements. Upon being accepted for admissions to ASU, your high school transcripts and/or ACT/SAT scores will be evaluated automatically to determine your eligibility for this scholarship. No additional application is necessary. If you are selected for an ASU Distinguished Scholarship, you will be notified via email within two weeks after you have been accepted for admissions to ASU.

Other ASU Scholarships are awarded through the following:

ASU's General Scholarship Application – Once you are admitted to ASU, you can log onto your Ramport account, navigate to the Financial Aid & Billing page, and click on the “Apply for ASU Scholarships” button. If you have trouble logging in, you can contact Ramport Support at (325) 942-2911. More information is on the General Scholarship page of the ASU website. It is recommended that you complete your ASU admissions application in the Fall semester, so that you can meet the January 15th priority deadline.
Need-Based Scholarships (including scholarships for Up & Coming Scholars) also require that the student complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Seniors can complete the FAFSA as early as December, and it is recommended that you complete the FAFSA in the Fall so that you can meet the January 15th priority deadline.

ASU’s Honors Program Scholarship – If you apply for and are accepted into the ASU Honors Program, you can qualify for an additional $3,000 scholarship per year. Visit the Honors Program page of the ASU website to view application information.
