Peterson's Message- K3 Director
Greetings MCP3 Team!
Thank you for bringing the fun to our first ever MCP3 Winter Olympics! Shout out to Team Diamonds (Miller, Wright, Harrell, Stricklin, Harvell, and Moon) for taking home Silver! Miller and Harvell's elegant and highly skilled pair figure skating performance received a tying score and securing a point for their team! The IT judges said, "It was very ice-skatey and a solid song selection." Special shout out to Team Hearts (Mitchell, Burt, Blevins, Cathey, and Carroll) who brought home the GOLD! Winning the first three events with Blevins' solid speed skating form, Mitchell's bobsledding speed, and Burt's aggressive hockey skills- the team was a force to be reckoned with! This 2026 Winter Olympics is definitely one we will forever remember!
At MCP we use data relentlessly to drive action and outcomes. During our monthly PD, teams worked together to discuss and analyze our Q2 data. Your thoughtful reflections and solutions oriented mindsets are what will help to improve outcomes and experiences for our scholars. Teams shared solid action plans to keep strong throughout Q3 and I am proud of the continued work of our team!
Here are some important happenings and reminders:
New Student Open Enrollment
Open enrollment started on February 1st. This means that all of our K3 scholars may now enroll as a NEW STUDENT for K4 if they are turning 4 on or before September 1st, 2026 and plan on attending MCP for the 26-27 school year. One of our enrollment goals is to have 80% of our K3 scholars enrolled in MCP for the following school year (K3/K4). During the month of February we will be having a challenge to promote enrollment completion. The first class to have 100% of their scholars enrolled for the 26-27 school year will receive a pizza party and all homerooms with 90% enrollment by 2/29 will be entered to win a SPA Gift Card.
- Scholars that will not be 4 on or before September 1st would need to attend our MCP3 program again. They just need to let you and/or Ms. Perine know they plan to stay at MCP3.
- If a family is planning to enroll their child in another school, we would need to know the name of the school to count it as a completed enrollment.
- Ms. Perine has shared the enrollment spreadsheet- please refer to this as you connect with families.
Current Enrollment percentage by homeroom:
- Elephants: 53%
- Gators: 65%
- Tigers: 53%
- Bulldogs: 55%
- Golden Eagles: 60%

DSHA Volunteers at MCP3
We will have 4 DSHA students "Dashers" supporting MCP3 from 3/2-3/12. This is a part of their senior vocare (Latin-to call forth) program. This 2-week service immersion calls students to meaningful experiences with our community and helps them understand their God-given talents so they can accept their gospel call to be women who can make a difference in the world.
The DASHERS will be assigned to support in a specific classroom.
