Jefferson Jags had several visits from community members through our Junior Achievement Program. Students in first grade focused on creating how to create a community filled with kindness. Students heard about words and actions they could use to demonstrate kindness and created kindness cards for members within our Jefferson Community. Students in fifth grade focused on different career pathways. Students got to explore their own strengths and then match those strengths with potential careers.
Third grade students drafted, edited and presented their persuasive writing to their peers around ways they would like to add to their school experience. Students then offered feedback to each other on their suggestions. It was a great opportunity for students to experience how writing can have influence on their everyday experiences!
Students celebrated the conclusion of their roller skating unit in PhyEd with disco rollerblading. It was so fun to watch students grow in their confidence and skills during this unit...it was a true example of GRIT!
