📌 Reminders & Upcoming Events

  • School Tomorrow: Please remember that we do have school on Friday, September 5th.
  • Grandparents’ Breakfasts: Our annual breakfasts will be held next week! See details below. Be sure to register ahead of time so your Raptor badge can be pre-printed.
  • Big Kahuna Fundraiser: Paper orders are due Tuesday, September 9th. Online sales will close on Monday, September 16th. Please send all paper orders to campus by the due date.
  • Homecoming Week (LHSW): Next week is Homecoming Week! Check below for the daily dress-up themes. Students may wear mums on Thursday, as long as they do not disrupt the learning environment.

Free Breakfast for ALL Students

ALL students, regardless of free/reduced/paid lunch status, receive a free breakfast at school. We are able to provide this benefit to all students by parents taking time to complete the free and reduced lunch application. If you have not already received a letter from the district indicating your free/reduced/paid lunch status, please take a moment to complete the lunch application.

Developing Leaders Through Positive Choices

At LSRO, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for every student. We are developing leaders, and part of leadership is learning how to handle challenges with respect, responsibility, and self-control. Fighting and physical aggression are not acceptable behaviors and will not be tolerated. When these situations occur, students are held accountable in line with our district handbook.

At the same time, we view these moments as opportunities to teach and guide students toward better decision-making. With your partnership at home, we can reinforce the importance of solving conflicts in positive ways. Please encourage your child to seek help from a teacher, counselor, or administrator if they are experiencing conflict. Together, we can support our students in growing into leaders who solve problems peacefully, treat others with kindness, and set a positive example for those around them.

Please come and join us for Grandparents' Day on September 9th and 10th from 7:15-8:15 am.

  • If your child is in Kindergarten- 3rd grade, you can come on Sept 9th.

  • If your child is in 4th-6th grade, you can come on Sept. 10th.

  • If your children are in various grade levels across the campus, please choose one day to come with all your students.

Muffins and coffee will be on a first come, first serve basis and students will not be able to attend without an adult. Adults will not be able to walk their children to class after breakfast.

To make the event as smooth as possible, please help us with these few things if possible:

  • Have the grandparents drive the child to school the day of the event.

  • Meet the grandparents at school so they can walk in together.

  • Make sure the grandparents know the child's grade level and teacher so the child can be easily located if they are not already with the grandparent.

Thank you for partnering with us to make this a wonderful event for our grandparents and students!

Weekly I Will Statements

During morning announcements, we will focus on one LifeLeader Attribute each week and learn what we need to do to develop each attribute so that we can become effective leaders in our school and in our community. We encourage students and families to memorize these statements together and talk about how the attribute is exhibited at home, school and work. We will share the I Will statement in the weekly newsletter and on our campus Facebook page. We look forward to hearing how students are exhibiting the attributes at school and home. Click here to view all 15 LifeLeader attributes.

LifeLeader School Rules - Growing Leaders of Character

During the first six weeks of school, we’re introducing our LifeLeader School Rules to help students grow as leaders of strong character. Every two weeks, we’ll focus on one of the three school rules, reinforcing positive behaviors that support our mission.

We invite you to partner with us by asking your child how they are demonstrating these school rules both at school and at home.
