Santos M. Elizondo - Campus Security
Hello, my name is Santos M. Elizondo, though you may also call me Mr. S Security or simply Santos—building a first-name basis is very important to me. I’m proud to be a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, originally from Tucson, AZ. I’m the youngest of five siblings and have a big passion for both sports and food. I’ve been part of the WPS district for the past three years, beginning as a special needs para, then serving as a behavior and mental health aide, and now working as your campus monitor. I truly value the roles I’ve been given—whether as a campus monitor or as a coach—and I approach each with dedication and pride. Outside of my campus role, I coach football and basketball for the Westy Futures and rugby for club teams throughout Colorado. Coaching allows me to share my love of sports while helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. I especially enjoy working in the K–8 setting because I believe these are some of the most impactful years in a child’s life. Every day, I strive to be the best I can be, supporting our students, staff, and school community. Please feel free to stop me anytime to chat or ask a question whenever you see me—I’m always happy to connect.
Please join me in welcoming our Community Guardians, Santos and Ms. Vega. Their role is to provide a safe and supportive environment while strengthening connections between our school, students, and families.
Angelica Vega - School Liaison
Hello, my name is Ms. A! I have been part of our district for nearly 9 years, serving 8 of those years as a dedicated bilingual school liaison. I’m also a proud parent of 4 children—three who have graduated from Westminster High School and one who is currently attending. Having volunteered in my own children’s schools before becoming a liaison, I’ve seen firsthand how important parent involvement is. When parents are engaged, students tend to behave better, attend more regularly, and achieve more academically. Beyond academics, parent participation creates lasting memories and shows students they are supported in their education. I’m here for The Met families to provide support, connect you with resources, and help ensure every student succeeds. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Any volunteers who would like to work directly with students in person, must pass a background check. Don't wait to complete this as it can take some time to get returned.
