A Message from the Principal
We will continue CAASPP testing for all students next week. We appreciate the support from our community to get your student to school on time so we can limit classroom interruptions during the first two hours of the day. Our testing block is from 8:15 am to 10:20 am, during that time we will not be able to interrupt students in their Core or Math classes or 8th-grade science if they need to be picked up. Limiting interruptions for all students will ensure a secure and structured testing environment. We will continue testing on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with the final test day on May 3rd. To support your child, please have your student charge their iPad, get a good night's sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast. Thank you for your support with CAASPP testing at Hewes.
We are so excited for the Staff vs Student basketball game on Thursday, May 9th. There will be food trucks starting at 5 pm and the game starts at 6 pm with a halftime raffle to support the many programs sponsored by PTA. Volunteers will be needed so please consider helping. Students will be able to purchase tickets starting next week in 1st period. Tickets will be $5 pre-sale with a permission slip and $10 at the door. Students wanting to purchase tickets at the door must have a permission slip or an adult with them to enter the game.
