Vocabulary: combined with literacy and science. Made connections across all subjects to use new vocabulary words

Science: Students have been investiagting with wheels? Is there a pattern of motion? What does a pattern depend on with wheels? What is wheels are different sizes? What if we add weight?

This Weeks Fun! This Weeks Fun!

Literature Groups

Students have been placed in groups of 4 and meet about the specific group they are reading. Each student has two jobs when they meet to analyze the text and tell their classmates about their work. Here are some pictures of their hard preparation for the meetings!

Friendly Reminders Friendly Reminders

No Library

We will not have Library next week due to the shorter week. However please encourage your student to read everyday!

Homework Update Homework Update

Spelling & Math

Spelling packets and daily math homework seems to be working well with this group so we are going to stick with this method.

Read! Read! Read!

We ask that students complete about 20-25 minutes of reading outside of school each day. This can be creative, like reading a recipe out loud, the instructions to a board game, or even reading a script! I want reading at home to be fun and creative!

Student Learning Highlights! Student Learning Highlights!

Science

Students were able to investigation wheels and axels using ramps. They aimed to find patterns of motion and how we can predict motion with certain sizes of wheels! Ask your students about the axels in your car and why what it means if your wheels are the same size!
