Before and After School Clubs
Yearbook Club
Our annual student-created PLE Yearbook will start right away so we can capture all the events happening early in the year! All 5th and 6th grade students are invited to apply to join the Yearbook Club and be part of this annual tradition! Yearbook Club will meet each Thursday from 8:00 - 8:55 AM at the North Campus. A parent information meeting will be held during our first meeting on August 27th.
A complete application packet includes the student's application online, as well as two recommendations from PLE staff (one of their teacher's last year, plus one additional staff member who knows them well). If a student is new to PLE, two teachers from this year can provide recommendations. Students will be expected to attend meetings regularly, work on assigned pages outside of school hours (evenings or weekends, less than one hour per week) to meet our deadlines, and follow DCSD & PLE student codes of conduct.
- Yearbook Application (to be submitted by the interested student no later than August 21 @ 4:00 PM)
- Teacher Recommendation (only accessible to PLE staff)
- Yearbook Flyer

Battle of the Books
The club meets every Monday morning from 8:00-8:55 AM, and the cost to participate is $30. We'll be hosting a Parent Info Meeting on September 8th at 8:00 AM in the North Library to share more details about the program, expectations, and how you can support your child throughout the season. We hope you'll join us!

School Counseling Update
A Message from the School Counselor
Hi PLE Families! My name is Anne Gonglach, and I am excited to return as the School Counselor for the North Building. I’ll be at Pine Lane Elementary full time this year!
Throughout the school year, I will work with students 4th-6th grade in a variety of ways, including individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom counseling lessons focused on social-emotional learning and life skills. I am also available to provide one-on-one support for students who may benefit from more personalized attention to particular family needs. Lunch Bunches will continue to be offered and all students are invited and can choose if they want to participate.
This month, we won't have a monthly lesson. Instead, I’ll be doing “Crew Connections” where I meet with students as a touch point to kick off the school year!
If you would like to request a meeting for your student, please use this link. You can also contact me by phone at 303-387-8280 or via email at agonglach@dcsdk12.org.
PLUM Updates
What is PLUM?
PLUM is the annual Pine Lane Outdoor Education trip. PLUM (Pine Lane Up in the Mountains) takes students into the mountains for two nights to explore teamwork, new activities, and outdoor science concepts in action. This annual event is a major milestone for PLE students! Please see the website linked below for details. As we get closer to the trip, more and more details will be shared.
