Each year we ask every family to fill out this parent survey to help our school celebrate what is going well, and improve areas that need our attention. This survey helps us do that. Please click on the link below. http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/
REMINDERS FROM THE OFFICE: Birthdays and Mud?
As we head into a fun and busy stretch of the school year, we have a couple friendly reminders to help keep things running smoothly for everyone. ๐
๐ Birthday Celebrations
District 303 has a policy of no outside food or snacks for birthdays or classroom celebrations. While we know sharing treats is a special tradition for many families, we celebrate our students in some pretty great (and sugar-free!) ways at school.
On their birthday, students:
-
Get a shout-out during morning announcements
-
Receive a birthday pencil
-
Pick out a book
If you would still like to send something in to help your child celebrate, please choose non-edible items such as stickers, pencils, erasers, or other small trinkets. We promise the kids are just as excited about fun goodies as they are about cupcakes โ and our teachers appreciate keeping the crumbs to a minimum!
๐ค๏ธ A Little Mud Happensโฆ
With warmer weather comes outdoor recess adventures โ and sometimes muddy grass just beyond the blacktop. Weโve had quite a few students come in a little soggy lately (and our youngest learners occasionally have accidents, too).
We encourage families to keep an extra pair of pants in your childโs backpack or locker, just in case. It saves a trip to the nurseโs office and keeps everyone comfortable for the rest of the day.
And one more small favor โ if your child has borrowed โAnderson pantsโ from the nurseโs office, we would greatly appreciate them being returned after theyโve been washed. Our spare-pants collection works best when itโs fully stocked!
Thank you for your partnership and support. Weโre grateful for our Anderson families!
