Bulldog Bulletin
1.12.2024
Dear Sarah Adams Families,
Our students had a fun first week back and did an excellent job demonstrating their #BulldogBest! Students were showing respectful behavior by listening to their peers, waiting their turn and working cooperatively with one another. Responsible behavior was demonstrated by students picking up their snow gear in the hallways or dropping off items at the lost and found. Students were safe this week by letting an adult know of a wet spot in the halls and dressing warm for the weather. Finally, there were many examples of students being kind by helping one another with their extra gear, holding doors for teachers, and using friendly and caring language. We remind our students to bring their Bulldog Best every day, and they delivered!
I hope you are enjoying the snowy day, safely, with your families. I'd love to see the exciting ways you are taking advantage of the snow day, feel free to send any fun snow day pictures my way!
Enjoy the extended weekend!
Ms. Colleen Conway
Drop off and Pick Up Reminders
In order to ensure the safety of our students, staff members and families, I'd like to share a few important reminder with arrivals and dismissal:
- At morning drop-off and after school pick-up, please pull all the way up to the front of the line. We are able to unload/fill up 10-12 cars at a time if every car can follow this procedure, which expedites the process.
- Please have your child(ren) unload if you are in the drop-off zone, even if they are not in front of their designated school door.
- Please do not get out of your car if you are in the pick-up line. Students should be able to exit and enter the car on their own, getting in and out on the passenger side to avoid traffic.
- If you need to get out of your car, please park in an open, unmarked parking spot. If there is none available, you may use the back parking lot.
Following these guidelines not only ensures the safety of our community, but it also helps to expedite our procedures. As a reminder, school starts promptly at 8:15 am. You may begin dropping students off at 7:55, they will then be let into the building at 8:05. To avoid tardiness, please have your child(ren) at school before 8:15; this also ensures they are not missing any instruction at the start of the day.

Supporting Bulldog Best Behaviors
As a way to support and promote Bulldog Best behavior, we are introducing student stamp cards and class tally marks- a way where everyone can be recognized for their great efforts. Students can receive stamps on an individual card when they show their Bulldog Best. Completed cards can be exchanged for a prize of their choice, such as an opportunity to sit with their friend for the day, use their teacher's chair, lunch with Ms. Conway, recess with Mr. Herlocker, or a tangible item such as an eraser or keychain. Stamp cards stay at school. As a class, students can work together to earn tallys. Once they hit a benchmark of tallys (25, 50, 75, etc.) the class will earn a celebration such as a class dance party, extra recess, a game day, and more!
Our goal is to positively support all our students showing Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Kind behaviors throughout the building. We are excited to show our Bulldog Best and to recognize the outstanding efforts by our students!
