All staff, please ensure you follow the staff handbook guidelines for appropriate work attire. Jeans are only permitted on Wednesdays. On all other workdays, staff are expected to dress in accordance with professional standards outlined in the staff handbook.

Additionally, staff are expected to be present and ready to work at the start of their assigned tour of duty. For example, if your start time is 7:00 a.m. or 7:30 a.m., you should be on campus and prepared to fulfill your responsibilities at or before that time. Being punctual is essential, as we are responsible for student supervision and safety during these times. If you anticipate being late, please notify administration as soon as possible. While communication is appreciated, please also remember that you are required to submit a leave request immediately. Leave is recorded in one-hour increments; partial increments (such as 30 minutes) are not permitted.

Please continue to submit and complete lesson plans promptly. Please also ensure that lesson plans are prepared and available when you are absent. Emergency sub plans should be readily accessible at all times and kept on your desk for immediate use.

In addition, staff are expected to maintain appropriate and professional interactions with students at all times, fostering a respectful and supportive learning environment.

As an educational institution, we are obligated to serve our students with professionalism, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being and academic success.

In addition, Karyn has written a 4-part blog post series that helps unpack Norms 2025 updates and related topics:

Maintenance Maintenance

Keys

Teachers/Education Assistants, All doors must remain locked at all times. It is required for all staff to have their keys on a daily basis to ensure you are able to open and lock your classroom door. If you forget your keys, please contact your supervisor.

Kim is our designated responsible personnel of distributing and receiving classroom/office keys.

Work Orders

Work Orders forms are required for any facility deficiencies such as door lock repair, window repair, light fixture bulb replacement, A/C unit, etc... OR if you are requesting for assistance from maintenance such as moving a dry erase board, moving filing cabinet etc...

Work Order Forms are located at the front office. Please complete and place in Adrian Burn's mailbox located in the Library Work Room.

Portable Classroom Thermostat

Portable Classrooms: Please keep thermostat at 70 degrees or above in your classrooms. When the thermostat is below 70 degrees, the AC condenser freezes up due to heat/humidity and will not produce efficient cool air. We appreciate your understanding.
