Each week, this newsletter will share a variety of updates and information about The Genius School, including exciting highlights, upcoming events, and important announcements. Stay tuned to keep up with all the amazing things happening in our community!

Welcome Back Welcome Back

We are thrilled to have our geniuses and families back for another exciting school year at The Genius School! This first week has been a joyful start — filled with bright smiles, eager minds, and the buzz of new beginnings. Our classrooms have been alive with curiosity and collaboration as students dive into learning, reconnect with friends, and meet new classmates. We’ve enjoyed welcoming new families into our community while also celebrating the return of so many familiar faces. Together, we are building a strong foundation for a year of academic growth, creative exploration, and personal excellence. We can’t wait to see the remarkable progress our scholars will make as they continue to unleash their genius in the months ahead!

Dress Code Dress Code

As we kick off this school year, we want to ensure every scholar is prepared to look and feel their best each day. Please remember that we’ve made some important updates to our dress code from last year.

  • Monday through Thursday, students should be in dress uniform — this means a button-up shirt (not a polo) with a tie, and a cross tie for girls, along with navy pants every day.
  • Friday is our regular uniform day. Dressing for success not only reflects our school pride but also helps create a focused learning environment.

Thank you for helping us start the year off right by making sure your child comes to school in full uniform each day. You can view the complete dress code here: Click to View Dress Code

Arrival, Dismissal, and Before & After Care Arrival, Dismissal, and Before & After Care

To help our days run smoothly, please note our arrival and dismissal procedures.

  • Arrival is from 8:15 to 8:30 AM. Students arriving after 8:30 AM are considered late and must be walked into the building by the person dropping them off.
  • Dismissal takes place from 3:30 to 3:45 PM.

For families needing additional care, we’re pleased to partner with the
Riley Youth Community Center to offer before and after care. Before care runs from 6:00 to 8:15 AM, and after care runs from 3:45 to 6:00 PM. This program provides a safe and engaging environment for students outside of school hours. For more information or to register, please visit: Before & After Care Details

From Crisis, to Coherence, to Confidence

Last week, we shared a powerful story on our blog about how The Genius School is transforming student learning and well-being through mindfulness, emotional regulation, and our unique approach to education. You’ll read about how our scholars are building confidence, achieving academic growth, and developing the skills they need to thrive — both in school and in life. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, we invite you to take a few minutes to read and share it with others who might be inspired by our mission. Read the Full Blog Post Here
