- Endurance -
Team, as we enter this week of opportunity I understand the struggle of finding energy and balance between all that is expected and what is needed. As we think about what this month of February means to our society, I cannot help but to reflect upon all that has been gained because of the ENDURANCE of so many men and women of color. Our world is not where it needs to be on many levels, but with the great minds and ENDURANCE of each of you we are closer to getting to a better tomorrow. I appreciate the diligence and hard work that each of you have put in this semester and I can't help but be excited about what all is to come. I challenge each of you to stay the course and keep pushing for excellence. There is an old saying that alludes to the race not being given to the swift, but the ones who endure the journey. Simply put, it means invest whatever time necessary and withstand all of the trials and obstacles that present themselves so you can be properly rewarded at the end of the task. We all have the ability to dig deep within ourselves and come out stronger on the other side, but we have to be willing to keep the pace and EDURE all that is thrown at us. Stay strong this week team and know that you have the strength to overcome whatever is in your path. WC-Strong!

Remember, If you have a new phone number, email address or new address where you live please get that information to me as soon as possible. If you have moved or your address has changed you must provide me with a new lease or mortgage and utility bill information.
Work permits are still being accepted. You can come by with your completed forms and I will look up all of your information to see if you will granted permission to be employed and earn some good money this semester. FYI...school work comes first!
Be sure to get a good nights sleep and have a bit of breakfast for those of you who are testing this week. Come ready to kick ISTEP's tail and show the state that you are EASTSIDE strong! Let everyone know that you are battle tested and ready for this exam...let them know 2022!!! #CantFold #WontFold

1. Sleep - Get extra ZZZZ's the night before to keep your brain alert the next day!
2. Eat breakfast- Your brain needs the nutrients to stay sharp! We will have breakfast available as you walk in!
3. Read the directions - Knowing what is expected of you is 1/2 of the battle!
4. Take your TIME - Relax. Focus on the task at hand. This is not a race!
5. Be positive - a positive attitude will allow you to do your BEST work!
