VISION
MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL BANKS
Dear Lindblom families and community,
Choosing appropriate courses is important whether students plan to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university, enter the military, join the workforce, or pursue a gap-year experience. Our Programming Fair will be held on January 28, 2026, and we are collaborating to equip our students with the information they need to make decisions that align with their postsecondary goals and aspirations.
- Earning Your Winnings Reports and report cards were emailed to students and families earlier this month.
Last week, programming presentations were held during 7th-10th-grade advisory sessions.
Our 11th graders are engaging in programming conversations with counselors based on their postsecondary interests.
Our goal is to use available data sources to meaningfully support our students, including collecting their input through platforms such as Cultivate, 5Essentials, the Equal Opportunities Schools (EOS) survey, and questions shared during pre-programming presentations, lessons, and discussions. Our most recent EOS survey showed that 35% of our students indicated ‘conversations with teachers in class’ as a reason for enrolling in an advanced-level course, up from 29% the previous year. Additionally, 44% of students mentioned that ‘discussions with friends’ motivated them to take advanced-level courses. You can browse this information and more in our EOS Pathways Report, or see HERE to access all of our EOS reports.
Students who participate in advanced-level high school courses tend to have higher rates of persistence in their postsecondary pathways, defined as remaining enrolled beyond their first year. Thinking beyond course offerings, we want our students to persist in their postsecondary pathways. The tables reflect our most recent college enrollment and persistence data, publicly available HERE. We can celebrate the fact that our college enrollment and persistence rates are well above district average. However, we still have opportunities for improvement and room for growth. Let’s keep working together to close the opportunities and grow forward.
Together we rise onward and upward,
Principal Banks

Solidarity in Storytelling: A Racial Ally Program for Teens
The Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community (CBCAC) is excited to bring back a winter installment of our Solidarity in Storytelling workshop with Dr. Ada Cheng! This 3-week long program is designed to give high school students the opportunity to work on their story-writing skills while also exploring their familial history, sharing oral histories, and practicing racial allyship. Students are eligible for a $100 stipend upon completion of the program!
This program will be held on Saturdays (Feb 7, Feb 14, and Feb 21) from 10am-12pm in Chinatown. We will be taking applications through the end of the month. It would be amazing if you could share this opportunity with your students! I have attached the flyer, and you can find the application linked HERE.

This is an ideal situation for students that haven't been able to fit Art 1 into their schedules in past years, but feel ready to get into more complex projects.
