What's Happening In Waterville

It was a great week at Waterville! This next week will be busy as well, and we hope to see you all at Student Success Meetings on Wednesday, February 25th. If you haven't signed up for your meeting yet, please do so as soon as possible.

School dismisses at 11:50 am on Wednesday, February 25th. We will NOT be serving lunch this day!

Reminder: No school this Friday, February 27th!

We have a special opportunity coming up on February 25th. We will be attending the Chardon Polka Band concert at Blue Rapids Grade School. This opportunity is brought to us by the Marshall County Arts Cooperative. We appreciate them bringing the arts into our schools!

Calling Mystery Readers!

Read Across America Week is March 2 - 6. We have a fun-filled week of library activities planned. We would like to celebrate reading by having a “Mystery Reader” (parents, grandparents, other special people) for each library session that week. Mystery Readers will read a story to their child's class. The book can be the one that Mrs. Wieters chooses or you are welcome to read your families’ favorite book.

Please email Mrs. Wieters at rwieters@valleyheights.org if you are able to volunteer. Thanks for helping us make a memorable week for our readers!

It's all blue skies in Blue Rapids

It was a great week at Blue Rapids Elementary. On Friday, the 6th graders competed in a special game of dodgeball for winning the collection challenge. The 6th grade leadership team collected money for PE/Recess equipment, and the class that brought the most change earned the chance to participate in the dodgeball tournament. Great job, 6th grade!

Next week is Student Success Meetings. There will be an early dismissal that day, with NO lunch served. If you have not done so, please be sure to sign up to meet with your child’s teacher. Also, please take note that there is no school next Friday.

Here are some upcoming dates to remember:

  • Special Assembly for Students Chadron Polka Band - February 25th 9:30 am
