Sundays From The Mesa #12
October 27th - 31st

Principal's Message
Dear Alta Mesa Families,
We’re excited to welcome our students each morning! As a reminder, kindergarten through third grade students may arrive on campus starting at 7:55, and fourth and fifth grade students may arrive starting at 7:40. All TK-3rd grade students arriving before 8:05 need to go to the cafeteria. First through third grade students will stay in the cafeteria until 8:05 before heading to the playground, so if your child eats breakfast at home, dropping them off closer to this time or the first bell can be helpful.
Red Ribbon Week starts tomorrow! Monday is Christmas for Halloween, Tuesday is Sports Day, Wednesday is Pajama Day, and Thursday is Halloween Costumes. Please remember that dress code applies. No fake blood of any color, weapons (toy or otherwise), or costume masks are allowed. Scary, gory, or inflatable costumes are not allowed.
The Cookie Dough Fundraiser kicks off Monday and will run until November 11. Packets will be sent home with students, and orders can also be made online.
Movies @ The Mesa will be Thursday, October 30. Gates open at 5:45 p.m., and we’ll be showing Hotel Transylvania—thank you to everyone who voted! We’ll have hot dogs, Cinemark popcorn, and Kona Ice available for purchase. Can't wait to see you there!
Friday, October 31, is a Staff Development Day—no school for students!
Thank You,
Kristen Crites

Upcoming School Events
Red Ribbon Week - October 27th - 30th
October 27th - 30th is Red Ribbon/Spirit Week at Alta Mesa. We will have themed dress-up days for the week and we will be allowing Halloween costumes for all TK-5th grade students. Costumes need to meet the dress code, and fake blood of any color is not allowed. In addition, weapons and masks associated with costumes as well as inflatable costumes need to stay at home. Costumes worn to school should not be scary or gory as we are a TK - 5th school, and some students, especially little ones, may have a negative adverse reaction to such costumes. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Dress up days:
Monday, October 27th: Christmas for Halloween - Wear your Christmas attire
Tuesday, October 28th: Sports Day - Wear your favorite sports attire
Wednesday, October 29th: Pajama Day - Wear your pajamas
