Reports
On Wednesday 2nd July the student reports will be made available online to families through SEQTA. These reports contain specific information relating to each individual student’s achievement at this point in time. I encourage you to spend time with your child/children, going through their report, to celebrate the successes and work to be done to achieve even better results. The teachers here at Queen of Apostles have spent a great deal of time gathering data and writing individualised comments so you have an accurate picture of where each student is at. I would like to thank them for their time and commitment to this task.
EDUDANCE Concert
Our EDUDANCE concert yesterday was very well attended and I’m sure you’ll agree that it was a great showcase of what the students have been learning during lessons in Term 2. I would like to thank our EDUDANCE teacher, Miss Winter for her wonderful instruction of our students this term. I would also like to thank our parents and grandparents who cooperated very nicely with all the movement to allow families the best opportunity to view their child's dance.
Student Images
With any event at the school, such as the EDU-Dance concert yesterday, there is always lots of photos and videos taken of our students from parents and grandparents in our community. We ask that these photos and videos are enjoyed in the family setting only and not shared or posted on social media sites. We have families in our school who have not consented to their child's image being used or shared in any way. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Year 6 Assembly
Tomorrow at 8.50am Miss Moro and Year Six class will present their assembly item in the hall. I know they have been working hard and I am really looking forward to seeing what they come up with. It promises to be great fun.
NAIDOC Week
Held across Australia from 6-13 July 2025, NAIDOC Week will celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of our First Nations people. This year’s theme chosen by the National NAIDOC Committee, is The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy. The theme celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of the young First Nation Leaders, the vision of communities, and the legacy of ancestors.
Next Week, in recognition of NAIDOC Week, our classes will participate in activities that celebrate the history, culture and achievements of our First Nations people. It will also be an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our society. Activities include a NAIDOC Liturgy, Dance Presentation, Arts, Crafts and Music.
Holidays
Next Friday afternoon, Term Two will come to a close for our students. There have been some wonderful learning opportunities for all students this term and I have been very impressed with the way they have embraced the challenges that have come their way. Please be reminded that Term 3 for students begins on Monday 21st July.
Best Wishes
Mark Ryan

Parking and Drive Thru Arrangements
A reminder for everyone to be aware of our parking and drive through arrangements at the front of the school as the safety of our children is of paramount importance.
- Vehicles will enter via the middle driveway on Tribute St East.
- If you wish to park and leave your car to come into the school, please turn to the left and park in one of the bays adjacent to the Early Learning Centre or use the marked roadside bays outside the school.
- When exiting the car park, you will do so at the exit closest to Vahland Ave.
- If you are only dropping-off or picking-up, then please veer right and enter the drive-thru area. In this area you may not park or leave your vehicle unattended - it is strictly drop-off or pick- up only!
- When exiting the drive-thru section you will use the exit closest to Tudor Ave.
- Children waiting to be picked up are to wait on the verandah, under teacher supervision, and when they see their parent’s car enter the drive-thru, they may proceed down the steps at either end of the ramp and wait on the footpath adjacent to the bay where their parent has pulled up.
- Children should enter vehicles from the curbside only to avoid passing vehicles.
Volunteering
The Government of WA have amended the Working with Children Act last year with the changes implemented to better protect children. Catholic Education WA has mandated this process for all volunteers, including parent volunteers in schools. This includes parents who wish to volunteer at sports carnivals, in classrooms and at P&F events. Could we ask that all parents fill in the Volunteer Declaration (link) even if you have no plans at this stage to volunteer at school. If you filled out the form last year you will need to do it again this year. Parents who wish to assist teachers on excursions will need to be on this list. Your information will be stored securely in accordance with CEWA’s Information Stewardship. We highly value parent volunteers' time and contribution to our school community and thank-you for taking the time to submit the form below.
Any grandparents that wish to volunteer in the classroom or assist in the canteen will need a Working With Children Check. Please note this does not include drop off, pick up or attendance at our Grandparents Mass and Morning Tea. Grandparents that would like to volunteer at school, please contact the school office and we can assist you in the process.
