Message from our school counselor Message from our school counselor

School counseling services are provided for the educational and social development of students. The primary focus is to foster academic, personal, social, emotional, and career development within the education environment. My goal is to encourage students to better understand relationships, make wise choices regarding social and emotional issues, and help them grow to become productive citizens within their family, school, and community.
My experience and education span approximately 25 years. I obtained a BA in Psychology from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas and completed a Teaching Certification at Texas Wesleyan University. Additionally, I earned an MA in School Counseling from Texas Christian University. Lastly, I completed the SDA Certification for Teaching at Southwestern Adventist University. I am state board certified in Texas to teach Early Childhood to 4th grade as well as provide School Counseling services from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. Over the years, I have provided educational teaching services to students in public and private school for grades PK-2nd grade. I have also worked as a school counselor at Texas A&M Consolidated High School and Fort Worth Adventist Junior Academy. In addition, I have provided contractual school counseling services to Adventist schools around Texas.
Knowledge and hands-on experiences throughout my teaching and counseling career have taught me that every educational setting deserves a tailored approach. I will aim to support every student and make a positive impact by collaborating with both teachers and parents through various initiatives in the school year. My door will always be open so please feel free to share any concerns or questions you may have.
