Message from Nicole Pease, Principal Teacher at DCS

Hello DCS families, November is a choppy school month. This week, our days were broken up with Parent Teacher Conferences. It was nice to see all the parents coming in to meet with their students' teacher(s). Next week is another 4 day week with Monday being Veterans Day. Students have been working hard to create letters for local Veterans. This tradition started many years ago and I treasure it each year. I have met many of the Veterans that we write to and they have told me how much the notes of appreciation mean to them. Understanding what sacrifice and serving our country mean is an important part of the educational experience! Thank you to our family members that are Veterans!

One of the DCS students was so excited to have the fall decorations in the hallway, especially the two ravens. They asked if they could design and create outfits for the rest of the year. She took them home and they returned in outfits for Thanksgiving. Please take a peek at the picture below or on the desk outside the office. Thank you Sophia! Have a lovely weekend, Nicole
