STEELE STUDENT COUNCIL CANNED FOOD DRIVE

The Steele Student Council organized a canned food drive from Monday, November 27th through Friday, December 1st. Each day had a different theme for specific food items.

  • Monday = Proteins
  • Tuesday = Vegetables
  • Wednesday = Grains
  • Thursday = Fruit
  • Friday = Soups

This food drive benefits those in need in our local community. Every item donated will go directly to our local food bank, Fish Food Pantry. Of course, we also had a little competition between homerooms to see who could bring in the most items.

1st Place: Mrs. Kleine's Classroom (257 canned goods!) They win a HOT COCOA PARTY!
2nd Place: Miss Voyles' Classroom (205 canned goods!)
3rd Place: Mr Stecher's Classroom (196 canned goods!)

We have brought in a GRAND TOTAL of 1,538 canned goods so far! Our goal was to make it to 1,000! We did it! Thank you for all of your support and generous donations!

It's Getting Cold Outside! It's Getting Cold Outside!

Our students go outside for recess as long as the real feel temperature is 20 degrees or warmer. To play in the snow, students must have snow pants, coat, gloves, hat, and snow boots. If you are a family in need, please reach out to your teacher or Mrs. Mowen, Outreach, to see what we have.

Congratulations to our Students of the Month Winners! This month our theme was gratitude. These students were nominated because they showed gratitude throughout the month. We are very proud of these Steele Stars!

Signs were delivered to each of their homes to display in their yards or windows. We hope the entire community celebrates their accomplishment!

Congratulations to last week's Attendance Award Winners. Thank you again to Judy's Family Cafe for providing a certificate for a free breakfast!
