CAVALIER Chronicle

It's a Great Week to be a Cavalier!
Happy Sunday Cavalier Families!
We hope you are having a fantastic weekend so far!
This week, our school is focusing on the value of effort—the dedication, persistence, and determination that drive our students to achieve their best. Effort is what turns challenges into opportunities and mistakes into learning experiences.
We encourage our students to approach every task—whether in the classroom, on the field, or at home—with a growth mindset, understanding that hard work and perseverance lead to improvement. As parents, you can support this by celebrating the process, not just the outcome. Praise their persistence, encourage them to keep trying, and remind them that learning happens through effort.
Let’s work together to reinforce the message that effort matters and that success comes to those who give their best each day. Thank you for your continued support in helping our students “Make It Count!”
We are looking forward to a Cav-tastic week with your students!

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Map for Cars and Buses
Please notice the drop off and pick up areas for cars at CPMS. For the safety of our students, please do not drop off in the bus loop.
Parents/Guardians should only be driving in the yellow area indicated on the map.
The red area is for buses only. Parents who enter the red area are putting students and staff at risk as there is limited visibility when buses are present.
We appreciate your support in enforcing the KISD Student Code of Conduct!
Student Code of Conduct cards were sent home this past week. Please make sure that you have read over the SCOC so that you know the expectations for behavior.

For students attending a DAEP, the 2nd bus offense will result in permanent bus suspension for the time the student is placed in DAEP; any flagrant bus offense prior to the 2nd violation may result in immediate bus suspension. Students who fight on the bus will be suspended for three days. If after a thorough investigation, fighting is confirmed, then the students involved will be removed from the bus for 30 school days.
