There's been so much going on at SAM over these past few weeks, and lots more to come before we head into Spring Break. Over the past few weeks, our students have participated in the SAM Winter Olympics, our Grade 3 students raised over $800 to support the Stollery Children's Hospital, and we celebrated our Honest Heart students at our recent Spirit Assembly. Families will be sent an official email from St. Albert Public Schools on Monday, March 2, with instructions for completing Returning Student Registration. All families who complete their
Returning Student Registration before Friday, March 20, will be entered into a draw for free SAM clothing!
SAM’s Soccer Academy – Registration Now Open!
We are excited to continue as a host school for the division’s Soccer Academy program for students in grades 4-6 in the 2026/27 school year. If your child is interested in developing their soccer skills while focusing on academics, be sure to register!
Join Us for SAM’s Celebration of Learning – March 17 & 18
We invite all SAM families to our annual Celebration of Learning on March 17 and 18. This event is a wonderful opportunity for students to proudly showcase their learning experiences with you!

As we look forward to the 2026/27 school year, we want to emphasize the importance of registering your child for school early. Early and dependable data regarding our school's enrollment for the following year helps us to better predict the amount funding SAM School will receive. This is important for every school as many of the big decisions regarding school staffing, classroom size/composition, and school supports need to be made in the subsequent months. Late registrations do limit the amount of proactive planning we are able to do and can lead to unforeseen situations that result in higher class sizes and/or reduced opportunities for the school to set every student up for success next year.
Registration for the 2026/27 school year opens on Monday, March 2nd! All students currently enrolled at SAM must complete the Returning Student Registration Form to secure their registration for next year. This step is crucial for our school planning process.
Early Bird Draw! Returning Student Registration Forms completed before Friday, March 20th will be entered into an Early Bird draw for some free SAM Clothing!

SAM's Soccer Academy registration is now open! You can access the registration through your Parent Portal in PowerSchool, but please note that this feature is only available on the desktop site—it is not supported on the PowerSchool app.
To complete the registration:
Log in to your Parent Portal on a desktop browser.
On the left-hand side, click on Forms & Fees.
In the Fees section, select the school your child will be attending next year.
Confirm the Soccer Academy registration by paying the $250 deposit fee.
Complete the returning registration form for SAM School.
We are excited to invite all SAM families to our annual Celebration of Learning on March 17 and 18. This special event is an opportunity for students to proudly showcase their learning experiences with you. During this evening, your child will guide you through several interactive classroom stations, highlighting their hard work and achievements from throughout the year. Unlike the Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences held earlier, the Celebration of Learning is student-led, offering a unique and engaging glimpse into your child's daily learning environment.
To ensure that every family can comfortably visit their child's classroom, we have organized 30-minute sign-up slots, accommodating up to four families at a time. Please keep in mind that these sessions are not individual meetings with your child's teacher; other students and families will be present in the classroom during your visit.
