Bennett PTO Bulletin

February is here and we are looking forward to a fun month and (hopefully) no more snow days.

Galentines Bunco is on February 12th. This is the first time we have done an event like this and we are very excited to see everyone. We have a few more tickets available so please use this link to join in on the fun and see our wonderful silent auction items, like a reserved parking spot, reserved tickets to Kinder and 5th grade graduation and so much more. We also have our class Valentines parties and volunteers are needed, Sign up here.

Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or Facebook.

Sincerely,

Laura Bruhn

It’s time to plan for next year’s PTO Board. Per PTO Bylaws, we must form an Election Committee to oversee Board nominations and elections before sending out nomination forms.

Election Committee Requirements

• At least three PTO members plus the Principal or their representative.
• Current Board members not returning next year may volunteer.
• The Board President may not serve on or appoint members to the committee.
• Must be able to communicate by email.
• Must attend the PTO General Meeting on Tuesday, March 31 to assist with voting.

If you would like to serve on the Election Committee, please comment or email Alison Lewis at bennettparliamentarian@gmail.com by Tuesday, February 10.

The committee will select a chairman and be approved by the PTO Board. Committee members may also submit their own names for Board nominations.

Nomination & Election Timeline

• Week of February 17: Nomination forms and position descriptions sent home.
• Tuesday, March 10: Deadline to submit Board nominations (email or drop-off in the PTO box at the school office).

• Tuesday, March 31: PTO Board elections at the General Meeting.

A Moment to Paws

This Month's Tip: Let your child hear you say a "pawsitive" affirmation out loud, like, "I am proud of how I handled a tough task today." Then, invite them to create their own: "What is one 'I am' sentence you can say about yourself?" This simple habit helps children boost their self-esteem and self-confidence.
