Project guidelines and activity details will be sent home with your child.

Students who complete all parts of the challenge by the start of the school year will earn:

  • Free admission to the first PBIS Fun Night, including:

Riverhawk Rumble

We are thrilled to announce CMS's brand new 'Riverhawk Rumble' as an end-of-year culminating student only event of our district-wide PBIS program. The goal of the Riverhawk Rumble is to promote group cohesion and foster a deeper sense of community across our student population. This will be a special day that aligns directly with the tenets of PBIS: being safe, being respectful, and being responsible, and will give students the opportunity to put into practice the skills they have worked hard all year on developing. Corinth is community and we look forward to seeing that in action during our River Hawk rumble on Monday, June 23rd, 2025!

A Message from Our School Nurse: Physicals & Immunizations for 2025–2026

As we prepare for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year, we want to remind all families about the New York State Health requirements for school attendance. The NYS Department of Health mandates both physical exams and immunizations for middle school students entering specific grades.

Please review the following health requirements by grade:

Grade 5

  • Health Physical

Grade 6

  • Immunization: Tdap vaccine (tetanus booster)

Grade 7

  • Health Physical

  • Immunization: First dose of the meningococcal vaccine

Grade 8

  • No additional health requirements at this time

Families must submit proof of required physical exams and immunizations to the Health Office before the start of the school year. Proof of immunization is required within 14 days of the first day of school. These documents are necessary for continued school attendance and are reported to the state annually.

For more information, including full immunization guidelines, please visit the New York State Department of Health website. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Middle School Office directly.

Warm Weather is Coming!

As summer approaches and temperatures rise, we want to ensure all students stay safe, comfortable, and ready to learn throughout the school day.

🌡️ Here are a few warm-weather reminders:

👚 Dress Smart for the Heat

  • Lightweight, breathable fabrics like cotton are great for hot days.

  • Light colors help reflect the sun and keep students cooler

  • Please avoid heavy sweatshirts, hoodies, or thick layers — these can quickly lead to overheating and discomfort, especially during outdoor activities.

💧 Stay Hydrated

  • Please send your child with a refillable water bottle each day. We encourage students to drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially during physical activity.

✅ Follow Dress Code

  • While we encourage light and cool clothing, please remember to follow the school’s dress code policy regarding appropriate coverage and footwear for safety.

We appreciate your support in helping students stay cool, safe, and focused during the warmer months!
