If you choose to participate in the program, your child will receive a bag of easy-to-prepare food every Friday during the school year. They provide assorted meal options in the bag. It’s an honor to partner with the food bank to provide this option for our students.

If you wish to participate, please click on the button below and fill out this form before September 4th. You are able to opt out of the program at any time if you wish. 🍽️🎉

StopFinder

Please remember to check your StopFinder tonight before school starts. Believe it or not, we are still receiving enrollments and making changes to transportation the day before school starts! This also continues for the first several weeks of school.

If you have any questions or concerns about transportation please contact our Enrollment & Transportation Coordinator, Miss Samantha Oxenreider x. 6243 or s_oxenreider@conradweiser.org.

What does my child need? What does my child need?

What every student needs:

Headphones 🎧

We prefer the over the ear kind, little ears don't do well with earbuds!

Reusable water bottle💧

Please ensure that your child has a water bottle to use throughout the day! Plastic is preferable, the metal ones are loud and can be dangerous when they drop!

Snack 🍏 🥕 🥨

Please send a snack with your child each day so that they have something during our recess break. If this is a hardship for your family, please reach out to the School Counselor at l_eppler@conradweiser.org.

Just a friendly reminder that water bottles should only contain water. Please avoid sending milk, sports drinks, or other beverages in student bottles. Sticking with water helps us prevent spills, stains, and sticky messes in classrooms, while also keeping everyone hydrated and ready to learn. Thank you for your support!

👟Sneakers Required!

To ensure safety and full participation in Physical Education, all students are required to wear sneakers during PE class.

  • Effective September 4, students without sneakers will need to sit out for that day’s activities for safety reasons.

  • Sneakers should stay securely on feet while running, hopping, or kicking.
    • Tie sneakers and Velcro shoes are perfect.
    • Slip-on sneakers are okay, but please avoid styles like Vans or Keds if possible.

  • If your child does not have sneakers and you are unable to get them for financial reasons, please reach out to Miss Z, we’re happy to help!

This procedure aligns with the rest of the district and keeps all students safe while moving and being active. Please contact Miss Z via Seesaw with any questions.

🩺 Medical Excuses for PE

  • A parent note may excuse a student from up to 2 PE classes. Notes must include:
    • Student’s full name
    • Date
    • Reason
    • Parent signature
    • Daytime phone number

  • For any excuse longer than 2 classes, a doctor’s note is required and must be submitted to the school nurse. Students may not participate again until cleared by their doctor.

✅ Thank you for helping us keep PE safe, fun, and successful for all students! ✅ Thank you for helping us keep PE safe, fun, and successful for all students!

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Arrival

  • Please do not arrive at West prior to 8:45 am. There is no supervision outside until 9:00 am.

  • Breakfast doors will be open from 8:45 am - 8:55 am at Door 23. ONLY students eating breakfast are allowed in at this time.

  • All other students being dropped off may begin exiting vehicles at 9:00 am when staff come out for arrival . The bell rings at 9:15 and that is when the doors close.

  • REMEMBER: your child needs to be in their classroom by 9:15 am, that means they should be dropped off BEFORE 9:15 am.

  • Parent drop off is in the B-wing parking lot. Please do not exit your vehicle.

  • Buses will drop students off along the sidewalk in the front of the building.

The first few days of school always take a little longer, please plan accordingly. If you come after 9:10 am you may need to bring your child into the main office, please plan ahead.

PLEASE:

  • Please follow the direction of the staff when pulling in and pull all the way up, as far as you can. The further up you pull the more students can exit the vehicles at one time and the faster the line will go.

  • Have your child ready to exit the vehicle. Please say your goodbyes prior to your child exiting the vehicle. Their backpack should be on. DO NOT pull away until the child has safely exited the vehicle.

  • We ask that you have your child exit carefully on the curb side of the vehicle. Please do not have your child exit on the other side of the car, this is dangerous and we do not want your child to get hurt.

  • Remain in the right hand, drop off lane.

  • If you park to drop off your child(ren), please walk them carefully across to the sidewalk before allowing them to walk alone.

  • All students should walk on the right hand side of the yellow line.

  • DO NOT pull into the bus lane for any reason. Do not pass busses on the right hand side. Your vehicle does not belong in the bus lane. You may be ticketed if this occurs.

  • If your child is late (anytime after the bell rings, whether it is 10 seconds or 10 minutes), please park in the parking lot and walk them in to sign them in to school. An adult must accompany a late child into the building.

Things will smooth out quickly if everyone follows the guidelines above.

Dismissal

NO ONE should be in the Bus Lane from 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm each day. This includes vehicles & pedestrians.

  • Sneaker Bunch (walkers) will be dismissed first at 3:25 and will exit the building via the B-wing, Door 24.

  • The buses will park in the bus lane in front of our building. Bus riders will begin boarding around 3:30.

  • Parent Pick up will begin at 3:30. **Siblings will be dismissed with the YOUNGEST sibling at their designated door. **

  • Kindergarten parent pickup will be at Door 6, end of A-wing. (Parents should park at the southern end of the front parking lot, NOT in the bus lane OR in the Staff Lot.)

  • 1st grade pickup will be at Door 14, behind the building. (Parents should park in the spaces behind the building.)

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT SAME DAY CHANGES TO STUDENT DISMISSALS AFTER 12:00pm.
