Grad Night
Hello Parents of Seniors!
We have been working to build a fun Grad Night celebration for the seniors. This celebration happens right after Graduation, and is meant to be a Safe and Sober Celebration for this group.
Attached to this letter is the sign-up sheet for the Grad Night. It is also available on the PTHS website under the Grad Night link or outside the main office at school. We need signed forms before they can board the bus.
We are asking for $50- dollars to put towards this night, but please do not let this hold you back, scholarships are available. If you or your student hasn’t signed up yet, please do so now!
Students will board a school bus right after graduation, and they will be returned back to the High School at the end of the night. Which is late, as the party is expected to go until 1:15 - 1:30 am!
Here is a special request: there will be a slide show at the party. We are hoping EVERY senior is represented! To help us with that, would you please send at least two pictures of your seniors? One from when they were little, and a more recent photo. If you have group pics of this Class of 2025, that would be fun as well. Please email your pictures to James at: pikchureman27@gmail.com no later than June 15th.
We have one final request: Parents who have not been able to volunteer with the planning of the event, would you please consider signing up for Clean up the following morning?
We are asking you to arrive at the event site at 9:30am and hope that it will only take 1 to 2 hours. Please find a sign up sheet here: Senior parent volunteers sign up here
Thank you everyone!
Important Senior Information
American Indian and Alaskan Native students who are members of federally recognized tribes have the right to wear tribal regalia and objects of cultural significance along with or attached to a gown at graduation ceremonies and related events. Students are not required to wear a cap if it is incompatible with the regalia or a significant object. Port Townsend Schools encourages American Indian and Alaskan Native students and families to reach out to their school principal if they have any questions about this guidance.
