GREAT NEWS from around the District
Elementary:
- A huge THANK YOU goes out to Ms. Wagner and Mr. Warren for their hard work revamping the library for classroom visits and book check outs. We are happy to announce that all past dues are forgiven, so get ready to start checking out books!
- Our Tier II team has been working really hard to set up criteria and progress monitoring for interventions. This takes countless hours and deliberate data decisions to ensure our students are receiving the support they need to be successful. Thank you, Ms. VandenHeuvel, Ms. Hall, Mrs. Rugg, Mrs. Richards, and Ms. Sleeper.
- Our Literacy Night is scheduled for February 24th! Please be on the lookout for more information coming soon!
- Conferences are coming up. Please make sure you sign up for a time with your child's teacher.
Jr/Sr:
Snowcoming events make for such a fun week. The hallways were decorated so well. Great job to everyone who participating in the events.
Congratulations to Jack Terpening for his 100th career win in wrestling! He continues to be a great leader for our young wrestlers. We are truly proud of you.

- We want to recognize the nominations for our Unsung Hero initiative to recognize those who constantly go above and beyond for our students, staff, and district. You make a difference. Thank you for being you and impact the youth of Bellevue Community schools: Eliza!
"Unsung Hero" Nominations
~Please consider completing the SIMPLE 3 question Unsung Hero survey to nominate someone special.
Another short week is in the books thanks to winter weather, and once again, I just want to say thank you. Snow days always create extra work and last-minute adjustments, and I truly appreciate the flexibility, patience, and positive attitude our staff continues to show.
Despite the interruptions, there were many great things happening across the district. One highlight was the school spirit on display during Snowcoming. From themed days to student involvement and staff jumping in, it was great to see our buildings filled with energy, pride, and fun, even in the middle of winter. Those are the things that make a school a place students want to be.
As we head into next week, a reminder that parent-teacher conferences are coming up. These nights are an important part of the home-school partnership, and I want to thank our staff in advance for the time, preparation, and care you put into connecting with families and supporting student success.
As we look ahead, please continue to take care of yourselves, slow down when the weather demands it, and keep safety at the forefront. Hopefully, the forecast cooperates, and we can return to a more regular rhythm.
Thank you again to our staff, families, and community for your continued support and understanding. Enjoy the weekend, stay warm, and keep that school spirit rolling.
