A Note From Dr. Stewman & Mrs. Hennarichs

Thank each and every one of you for patience as we have dealt with so many 'opportunities' this past month as well as this school year. We hope that this newsletter finds you well and ready for a new month of learning.

Map Testing has completed now with the exception of makeups for those who have been quarantined. It is a joy to see how each child is growing! There are so many celebrations. As always thank you for partnering with us in your child's education.

This month we plan to participate in 'TWOS-DAY' on February 22, 2022 (2.22.22). More information will follow as we have just started the planning for this day. We know it will be another day full or fun and learning at Sonora.

Arrival/Dismissal Route Options

Below is a link to a newsletter that we posted earlier this year to help with routes out of Sonora in the morning and afternoon when traffic is at the highest volume. For our K-2 parents dropping off the the front of the building each morning, there are other options to leave the front parking lot by turning left. We hope by sharing this again it helps relieve some of the morning congestion.

Update on Arrival/Dismissal Traffic

We completely understand the frustration that arrival and dismissal bring. With the cancellation of buses our amount of car riders has increased significantly. Therefore, we have been looking for options for alternate routes when turning right on Sonora Road instead of waiting at the stoplight at Sonora Road and Highway 412 East.

February 11th - Valentine Parties (at this time with the increase of Covid cases, we are still not allowing parents in for the classroom parties)

February 14th - No School

February 22nd - School Bus Drivers Appreciation Day

February 24th - PTA (Virtual) Bingo Night (more information to follow)

February 28th - PTA St. Patrick's Day Grams for sale
