A Message from Mrs. Sturdivant A Message from Mrs. Sturdivant

I hope this message finds you well-rested and ready for the exciting journey ahead. As we return from our winter holiday, I want to extend a warm welcome back to all our students and their families. Our school is a buzz of energy and anticipation for the learning adventures that await us in the coming months.

Attendance is a key component of student success. Regular attendance not only reinforces a routine of responsibility and commitment but also ensures your child fully benefits from the educational opportunities we offer. Every day matters, and your child’s presence contributes significantly to their learning and the vibrant community we have here.

Our dedicated staff is committed to providing an enriching and supportive learning environment. We understand each child’s journey is unique, and we’re here to nurture their growth, curiosity, and academic achievements. Let's work together to make this term not just productive, but also joyous and memorable for our students. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives and learning of our children.

As we approach inclement weather season, we would like to inform each of you of the process and methods Conway Public School District will disseminate information regarding possible school closings. Please review the following.

Mornings of possible inclement weather, CPSD will begin evaluating road conditions within Faulkner County by 4:00 a.m. while monitoring weather projections for the remainder of the day. Possible actions could include closures, delayed start times, or in certain scenarios an early release. School closings or late start determinations will occur by 6:00 a.m. before morning bus routes begin.

CPSD will utilize an automated calling and texting system to notify students, parents and staff of possible closings or delays. A pre-recorded message will be sent to all phone numbers in the student and staff directory within 10 minutes. Please make sure the numbers that you listed on the student information sheet are current.

If school is to continue as normal, CPSD will not make an announcement.

Our social media outlets will be continuously updated to keep parents and community members informed of school closing status. To ensure everyone is informed, television stations will also be contacted.

Please review the CPSD Bus Routes - Snow/Inclement Weather Routes.

Families, please arrive to pick up your child no later than 3:20. Our car line begins at 3:00 and runs very smoothly. Please help us with this. Additionally, you MUST have your car tag in order to pick up your student in the car line. If you do not have a car tag, you will have to pull around to the parking lot, come inside, and verify with your ID. Thank you for helping us ensure our procedures are efficient and safe.

Nurse's Note - January 2024 Nurse's Note - January 2024

I hope you and your children had a wonderful break! 2024 is here and cold weather is as well. It is so important for you and your children to find ways to remain active even during the winter months. Activity is not only good for your physical health, but also for your mental health. Fortunately in Arkansas, our winter’s are usually fairly mild and you can always bundle up and layer clothing and get outside to stay active. If it is too cold for you and your children, there are some great ideas for indoor activities in the link below. Another fun idea is to search for GoNoodle or Kids Bop dance videos on Youtube. Stay warm and keep moving!
