Our Tulley's Tiger Trot Color Run was a HUGE success, and it’s all thanks to our incredible Tiger families, dedicated PTO, wonderful volunteers, and generous community partners!
We are so fortunate to have such an amazing school community! A special thank-you to our outstanding PTO and volunteers, who poured countless hours of planning, hard work, and heart into making this event such a memorable experience for everyone. Seeing the smiles, laughter, and colorful faces of our Tigers made it all worthwhile!
Best of all, the fun was for a fantastic cause - OUR TIGERS!
Your generosity and support mean so much to our school. Because of you, our teachers and students will have access to even more resources and opportunities that enrich learning and help our Tigers thrive.
Thank you for showing up, cheering us on, giving generously, and making our school community so special. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you!

WCHE to Conduct a Lockdown Drill November 3 @ 9 am
A critical component of school safety is our classroom response to any potential campus incident. Since August 2019, Lake Travis ISD has utilized the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), a proven framework that creates clear, shared language and actions among students, staff, and first responders.
WCHE will conduct a lockdown drill in partnership with the Lake Travis ISD Police Department on Tuesday, November 3rd at approximately 9:00am. The drill is expected to take no more than 15 minutes.
What to Expect During the Drill
- First Responders Onsite: You may see police officers and safety vehicles on our campus during this time. We share this in advance to prevent any unnecessary alarm.
- Brief Pause in Instruction: Teachers will temporarily suspend instruction while guiding students through the safety procedures.
- Quick Resume: Standard classroom activities will resume immediately once the drill concludes.
Our teachers and students have been briefed on SRP procedures and are well-prepared to participate.
Parent Tips for Discussing Drills at Home
The Texas School Safety Center encourages parents to talk with their children about the importance of safety drills. Here are a few ways to support your child:
- Explain the Purpose: Help your child understand that drills are routine practice to keep everyone safe, just like fire drills.
- Reassure Them: Remind your child in age-appropriate language that school staff and law enforcement are there to protect them.
- Check In Before and After: Talk with your child before and after the drill to address any questions, concerns, or fears they might have.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership as we work together to keep our school a safe, nurturing environment for every student. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Tigers Honoring our Veterans November 11
To honor our veterans and servicepersons, we will have a special assembly at 7:50 am on Wednesday, November 11. We hope you can join us, and if you can, please RSVP here by 3 pm November 9. Be sure to bring a photo ID and come early to pick up your security badge.
Our staff and students want to also honor our veterans and servicepersons (living or deceased) by displaying their photos. We will have a photo display in the front foyer of the school, and a "brick" wall of photos in the hallway. Please do not send us your only, original copy of a precious photo. Although we will do our best to return your "brick" and its attached photo to you after Veterans Day, the display case photos will likely not be returned.
A paper copy of our "brick" will go home with each student. Feel free to print your own from our digital copy coming via email as well as the photo shown below. And, if you need additional paper copies, just let us know. Please return your "brick" and 2nd photo to the school by Thursday, November 5. Thanks!
